John Sweeney is a British investigative journalist and writer. His career includes investigations for BBC Panorama and Newsnight, notably Fake Sheikh: Exposed, North Korea Undercover and Trump: The Kremlin Candidate?
His investigation into wrongful convictions of mothers of cot death victims led him to receive the Paul Foot Award in 2005. In 2023 he released the documentary Terror and Torture in Ukraine. He will today talk about the untimely death whilst in detention of Alexei Navalny.
