DESCRIPTION:Rye's August Chess Tournament is free to enter and open to everyone, with beginner, intermediate and advanced players welcome.\n\nThe tournament consists of four Swiss-style rounds, so every player gets four games regardless of their results. Entrants need to know how the pieces move, but no previous tournament knowledge is required.\n\nThe winner may receive a slice of cake as well as having their deeds put to song.
