She has translated over 20 works of German-language literature into English, and was shortlisted for the Booker International Prize 2019 for her translation of Marion Poschmann's The Pine Islands. She is also co-publisher at Praspar Press, which supports Maltese literature in English and English translation. Discover Ellen Hannavy-Cousen, whose compelling debut novel, Of No Consequence, uncovers the hidden lives of society's most vulnerable. Drawing on her experience as a teacher, pastoral leader and Victim Support worker, she crafts a gripping, thought-provoking thriller set in the affluent South East.
