Rye in East Sussex Town Guide

Information on William Hunter

I am looking for any information on the following:

William Hunter B Abt 1781 in Rye and died after 1851. Appears in 1841 census on Wishard in Rye as a 60yo carrier with wife Mary whom I believe to be Mary Humphrey d/o John Humphrey of New Romney, a brick layer. Mary Humphrey married Wm. Hunter 27 Mar 1806 in New Romney. In the 1841 census Mary is 58yo B in Sussex. Their son Lewis later went to Canada. He is my 2nd G-grandfather.

Thank you!
