The Festival proudly presents, in conjunction with Rye Film Club another classic locally-shot film. Green Grow the Rushes starring a vivacious, young Honor Blackman opposite a handsome, young Richard Burton just before he went to Hollywood to become an international star. It’s a tale of smuggling on the Marsh with the men from the Ministry visiting and wondering why the area was so prosperous when so little farming went on. There will also be locally-made documentary films shown in support.
