An exhibition to introduce some of the most noteworthy authors and poets who have lived in Rye or been inspired by Rye over the years. Rye punches above its weight with the literary talent it has nurtured through the centuries. Come and find out a little more. The exhibition will include literary quotes and images showing where they lived, worked or were inspired. Writers featured include Henry James, EF Benson, Rumer Godden, Conrad Aiken, Malcom Saville, Monica Edwards, John Fletcher, John Ryan, Spike Milligan and Russell Thorndike.
