Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster in this one-man play written and performed by award-winning playwright Michael Mears. It tells the riveting story of Father Wilhelm Kleinsorge’s daring escape, a miraculous suitcase, and the devastation caused by the Hiroshima blast in 1945 – which was the first ever use of the atomic bomb in war. The play is based on one of the accounts in American journalist John Hersey’s book HIROSHIMA, written after he had visited Hiroshima in 1946, and interviewed six survivors.
