The Brand New Heavies

We proudly present The Brand New Heavies, pioneers of the London acid jazz scene.

The band are busier than ever performing to sell out audiences at major international festivals and venues around the world and is a real coup getting the band to perform in Rye this year.

The Brand New Heavies translated their love for the funk grooves of the 1970s into a sophisticated sound that carried the torch for classic soul in an era dominated by Hip-Hop.

They have produced 16 top hit 40 singles and have sold over 2.5 million records to date and have been responsible for some of the UK’s biggest R&B/Soul tracks with hits ‘Never Stop’, ‘Don’t Let It Go To Your Head’ and ‘Dream On Dreamer’.

Formed in London, UK, Brand New Heavies are a pioneering jazz collective who helped create the sound of acid jazz, fusing funk, soul, and hip hop production to create their unique sound.

“The Heavies are amazing live and a must to see” The Evening Standard.
