1861/91 Census

The 1891 census showed “Leaside” or “Seaside” as an address in the Broomhill area does anyone recognise this? Also in 1861 I have Rye-Horing by Sea does this mean anything to any local historians? Many thanks Syd Pawley

    Syd ,
I’ve just read your message! I think you’ll find them to be the names of houses! They were on the south side of the road (literally seaside!). The majority of them were recquisitioned during WW2 and were later destroyed. My grandfather was born there.
I’m afraid I can’t help you with horing by sea.
