Rye Players is the amateur community theatre group in Rye. We have been performing in and around the town since Victorian times, apart from a brief hiatus as ‘Acting Up In Rye’.
We produce all genres of theatre, indoors and out: the annual pantomime,revues,comedies,traditional plays,historical drama, murder mysteries, play and poetry readings. Since Covid we evolved into a community group, performing new work by local authors and fundraising for local charities.
We are very keen to have new members of all ages and abilities, whether you are keen to be on stage or help behind the scenes. Membership is £15/year, with discounted tickets for our shows, regular newsletter and scripts. We are a very friendly group!
