It all began in 2018 when we had the idea of opening Hoof, a steak and burger restaurant in Rye where the beef and potatoes are still grown on the family farm less than 4 miles away on Romney Marsh.

Over the last few years the menu at Hoof has expanded allowing us to bring you produce from other local suppliers including local breweries, cidermakers and of course our own local vineyards.

We also bring you fish and shellfish from the fishing fleets based in Rye & Hastings, and a wider range of produce sourced principally from other local Family-owned suppliers, retaining our farm to table ethos.

As the seasons change, we will look to bring you the best of local fruit and vegetables in our menus as well as showcasing other local food and drink suppliers produce.

In 2021, the opportunity arose to open Hoof & Hook our second and larger restaurant in Tenterden, we decided to widen the menu offering and thereby the opportunity to recruit more local suppliers and expand the brand.
