The Fishmarket is open to the trade and public from 8am – 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and 10-4pm Sunday. You will always find a large selection of fish and seafood, along with a ready to eat deli counter.

A large proportion of the fish is from our small fleet of local day boats. The harbour in Rye is tidal, so our fishermen go out to sea on one tide, spend just 12 hours at sea and then return on the next high tide. This means that our fish is caught with sustainable methods and is always wonderfully fresh.

We have our own lobster tanks in the shop and cook, pick and prepare your local lobsters, crabs and whelks.

Come along to the shop to see what has come off the boats today – and the team is always on hand to fillet and prepare your fish for you, and offer cooking tips and advice. We are also happy to vacuum pack fish for your freezer.

Our fully licensed Seafood Bar is open Friday 12 – 4pm

Saturday 10.30am – 7pm

Sunday 12 – 4pm

where you can join us for a glass of wine, oysters and fish cooked fresh from the boats.
