Rye’s Annual Throwing of the Hot Pennies!
Come along on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May and gather outside the Town Hall from 12.15pm.
This year celebrates Rye Town Council’s 50th anniversary – as part of the celebration, there will also be freshly minted 50p’s thrown along with the usual pennies!
After the throwing of the hot pennies (and 50p’s!) Rye’s Town Crier and his Deputy will be giving a special cry from outside the Town Hall, celebrating the golden anniversary.
