Merger are of Jamaican/Ghanaian descent and were initially active from 1976 till 1983. Notably they played at Bob Dylan’s 1978 Blackbushe concert! Their name ‘Merger’ comes from blending reggae with other musical influences. Their debut album, Exiles In A Babylon was released in the UK in 1977 at a time when many British reggae bands, such as Aswad and Steel Pulse, were popular. Merger have reformed this year and re-released their re-mastered album Armageddon Time.
