The Work of Mick Williamson at Studio Stranded, Strand Quay

Renowned Folkesone-based photographer, Mick Williamson has taken more than two million photographs since 1974. His work will be on display in the first of a series of exhibitions to be held at Studio Stranded, Rye, East Sussex, opening this July.
With his seemingly casual ‘from the hip’ approach, capturing intuited moments as an extension of memory and perception, beyond the fussiness and ‘expectations of professionalism,’ Mick Williamson has documented daily life for over 50 years with a half-frame Olympus film camera.
To mark the opening of the exhibition there will be a book signing event with the artist held at Studio Stranded on 6th July from 12pm – 4pm.
Limited edition prints will be available throughout the exhibition run.
