A true steeplechase race across the breathtaking scenery of the ancient trails surrounding the medieval town of Rye in East Sussex
Overview
The stunning course winds through the ancient trails across High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex, linking the Norman churches of Rye, Iden, Beckley, Northiam and Peasmarsh. This spectacular event starts off on the high street to the calls of the Town Crier and takes to the trail to explore historic woodland, orchards, quiet country lanes and breathtaking views of the coastline.
Running for a Cause
Our 2026 charity partner is The Oliver Curd Trust who provide free holiday accommodation for families affected by childhood cancer, life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. This is a race with community spirit at it’s heart. The race supports local charities as a fundraising event, local support as marshals and the girl guides who serve tea, coffee and cake at the finish.
