Hot on the heels of a sell-out opening night in St. Leonards-on-sea last week, Barefoot Opera is now on tour with a fresh, youthful take on La Traviata, one of the world’s most loved operas. For one night only you can see this show at Rye Creative Centre.
‘This Traviata is a MUST SEE! A world class act. I laughed. I cried. I swooned.’ (Judy Parkinson, Hastings Online Times)
An outstanding international cast, including rising star soprano Turkish soprano Beren Fidan as Violetta, and South African-born tenor Tylor Lamani as Alfredo will be joined on stage during Act One by members of Marsh Choir, the rock, pop and soul choir based on the Romney Marsh.
Verdi’s classic 19th century tale has been transformed for contemporary audiences with stunning costume by Natasha Stolle, stripped-back set by Jane Bruce, and music from the Barefoot Band.
Last year’s Barefoot Opera production, La Cenerentola (Cinderella) received glowing reviews in London, Rye and Hastings. This promises to be a show not to miss!
‘It was amazing. Incredible talent. Fabulous costumes!’ (Audience Feedback)
