I have had a look at The Arts in Rye Page and it mentions only 4 authors: Benson, of course, Henry James, Malcolm Saville and Monica Edwards. But didn’t Rumer Godden live in Lamb House at one time? And someone else on the website has mentioned Radcliffe Hall, who could be on the Arts page.
Also, if my memory serves me correctly (for I read it more than 30 years ago) wasn’t Catherine Gaskin’s Blake’s Reach set in or near Rye? Let’s have a really full writers list on the Arts page, please.

Gerald Mallery: In 1979 we rented Oak Corner and I did paint many pieces from Rye and surrounding area. I did not paint Oak Corner but a visit to my website will show you some of the pieces.

Didn’t Paul Nash live up by the Flushing Inn too?
