The Hare and Hounds is ok for camping but be warned, the landlord won’t freeze your ice packs so make other arrangements in the hot weather!
I recently camped at a small place just outside of Rye… It is a few fields with a little wood and nature trail, and has a restriction of ten tents at any one time… owned by a really nice couple who used to live in Malawi….I would really like to book up in early september, but have lost their address and telephone number! Can anyone help….?
Sue Wells: Only just seen your message and so this may be too late but there is a quieter site called Frenchmans Beach at Rye Harbour. Used to be quieter than the Pontins style site but we haven’t been back for several years and things do change!!
Good luck and hope you find something

I’m looking for a nice campsite by the sea, near a nice pub preferably. Anyone got any suggestions? All ideas welcome!
thank you!
We are looking for a nice quiet camp site for week ends mainly. Two adults and a very well behaved dog
Hi – wonder if anyone can help? I’m looking for a campsite near (cycling distance) to Rye, but what we want is something quite small and basic, not a big holiday park – we’re a couple with one small tent and two bikes. Does anyone know of any farms etc that might take campers but aren’t listed online?
Thanks!
