I have traced my father who spent the last years of his life in Rye having returned to the area from Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon where he was a Tea Planter. His last address in Rye was 11, Landgate,in June 1961. The occupier of the premises there was a D.E. Valentine. While I am relieved to have found his resting place, I would also like to find out if my two half brothers from his later marriage could possibly be in the area as well. They are Kim Gillespie and Peter Gillespie, and would be in their sixties. I last met Peter when he was 5. I am presently 77.
