Rye in East Sussex Town Guide

Motorhome Parking

A question from an outsider. Can any resident of the citadel kindly explain to me where on earth do you park your cars? a) at night b) when you go away, or c) when you are just not using them? And how do you find delivering things to your own home?

Where can we park our motorhome in Rye to visit the town. Everywhere has a height barrier.

I’m staying at a hotel in Rye for bonfire night but really need parking, Does any locals offer parking on drives or know anywhere I can park midday Saturday to midday Sunday?

    Many thanks.

In the big car park, the market car park, just beside the station. It will cost a couple of pounds. Enjoy the weekend!

Thank you Philip, do you know what time I can get into the car park from if the market is on?

    Many thanks.

The market is only on Thursdays. Parking on Thursdays in Rye is practically impossible! As you won’t be here on a Thursday the problem doesn’t arise. The car park is “Pay & Display” so have some coins ready. The CP itself will be busy on firework night so park early & don’t go anywhere in your car else it may be full if you try & return.

Enjoy Rye Town – Come to the Nature Reserve at Rye Harbour Village & get some fresh air by the sea after firework night, before you return home.
