My wife and I are bringing a group of French schoolchildren (56 + 6 adults) to the south coast in April, and we are spending one day visiting Hastings (morning) and Rye (afternoon). If the weather is fine, we will picnic on the beach at Hastings, but we are stuck for an idea of what to do if the weather is bad. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere under cover at Hastings – can anyone suggest a suitable place in Rye or surrounding area? Help please!
