I am hoping to get married in Rye next year, as it has happy memories for us, but do not live in the area. Any suggestions as to venues licensed/suitable for either a small ceremony and/or reception. Accomodation would also be required.

Rye for a wedding?
My partner and I are thinking of a wedding in Rye. We THINK (very early days) we’ll have 120 or so, guests.
Have any of you organised/had a wedding in Rye? Any suggestions for such a large group in the area. We would like an ‘informal’ style reception, tea party outdoors. Lots of kids…

Michelle North: The Globe Inn has hosted weddings very successfully and you can find their number on this site, ask for Aidan or Janette, and the accommodation at the White Vine is excellent, (Dezi and Robert are fantastic hosts!) Their number is also on this site.
