One response to “Burnham / Wood Information”
My Grandmother was killed at the Tollgate Military Rd in 1908, following this up led to my finding some wonderful family members that I did not know existed. I must thank Clifford Jordan, Alan Dickenson, your Town Clerk RAS Farhall and the ladies at the Heritage Centre for thier help in my continuing search for information. Is there a member of the Burnham family around who can tell me more about George Frederick Burnham Mayor of Rye 1914, 1915 and 1925? There is a family link through the Wood family of Playden. Who was Lady Tupper my aunt was a companion to her in the 1920/30’s. Any members of the Martin, Wood, Hoad or Ditch families that have roots in Rye, Iden and Playden area and would like to share information please contact me.
