Rye in East Sussex Town Guide

Introduction

Hello,

I have just joined your forum and thought i should introduce myself. My name is David Procter, the name might be recognised by some. My family once lived in Rye and I have been rediscovering their stories for some years. For those that know nothing of the name a little background might help. Among their achievents were a couple of Mayors, a town clerk, a controller of customs and the builder of the Watchtower.

However I hit a brickwall before 1702 when Thomas procter was born. I know he marreid Elizabeth Pigrim but what of him prior to this any ideas. Anyway enough for the moment if you are interested I will add more later. Many thanks.

Dave
