Infamous filmmaker, Carl Denham, travels to Skull Island to capture the legendary beast known as Kong. Join illustrator and Kong fan, Oliver Brooks, at the Kino, for an evening dedicated to the Eighth Wonder of the World. A showing of the classic 1933 film will be preceded by a lecture from Oliver, going over the film’s origins and production, its problematic nature, and its legacy as the greatest monster movie.
