Sea Shanty Saturday

Three local shanty bands have organised with ten local hostelries to tour the town and perform their sea shanties to visitors!

Follow your favourite band around the town or choose a pub and let them come to you!

RYE HARBOUR HERRINGS
A group of local singers formed in 2019 by Martin Bruce dedicated to preserving and strengthening the tradition of shanty singing.

COMPLETELY SCUPPERED
“A group of men of a certain age who sing shanties in the manner of traditional work songs” and can be seen at their regular Thursday session at the Jenny Lind in Hastings.
