Lorraine Tillett: Was the shop in The Mint perhaps is was called Simmons of The Mint 01797 226862. If this is not right perhaps you could remember what street it was in.

Can you help? I am trying to find a name / contact number for one of the antiques / collectables shops in Rye – it’s in the row of of old wooden buildings near the quay (old fishmarket?). I think Mermaid Street. It’s quite large and on two floors – and has a section upstairs selling pub / bar effects. It’s made up of ‘stalls’ owned by different sellers.
If you do have a number/name, pls let me know.
Many thanks
Hi, we spent the day in Rye last May,my husband bought me a very nice bracelet in a shop very near Hilders Cliff, the jewellery and the person serving were oriental looking. Unfortunatly i lost the bracelet, but i wondered if anyone has the shop name or telephone number,as i would like to replace it ,if possible. Thanks for taking the time to read this
Gloria Bond: I think you bought it at the shop called The Silvermine
Chris Hunt: Hi, yes I think you’re right, thanks so much for your help
