Hi, I am trying to trace John Henry Tiltman born in 1864 in Shoreham Sussex. He was my great great grandfather and he appears on the 1901 census but nothing before then. He was married to Emma Jane Wheeler at the time of the 1901 census. I would be grateful for any information anyone has and if he is related in anyway to the Tiltmans in Rye. Thanks.

Hi Sarah, my name is Arthur from Australia. I found this thread, maybe a little late. I am also trying to find my family tree. Something a bit different is my great grandfather, John Henry Tiltman was born in 1862 not 1864, also in Shoreham. He was also married to Emma Jane Wheeler and resided in Fulham until he passed. I found his grave in Brompton Cemetery and visited his grave in 2015. Not sure that he was the same one you were tracking. If you find this message, hopefully we could get in touch.
